I went on this bike and wine tour in causiño macul vineyard as a birthday celebration with my boyfriend, I have to say it could not have been better, our tour guide Marcela was brilliant, she was super informative and there wasn’t a question she couldn’t answer. We were highly impressed with the standard. The tour felt like it was moulded to the atmosphere of the group and our type of humour, so it felt very personal. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to have a good time and learn something new in the process.
When we saw that Cousino-Macul had a bike tour we were very excited to check it out! Juan was our guide and we spent a couple of hours riding through the vineyard and walking through the production areas. Juan was able to share the history of the vineyard in Spanish and English. The wines were amazing and the views of the surrounding area amazing! I highly recommend taking a tour with this company.
This was the most interesting way of learning history I’ve ever encountered – I didn’t really love it at school. Fabian’s storytelling caught my full attention. It’s clearly visible that he enjoys the work. Bicycles are a fun and quick way of getting around the city. Props to Chilean legislation for mandatory helmets . I’d consider this a good first day activity to get to know the basics of the city.
It is a relaxing, fun and easy way to get the ‘scoop’ on the city and Chilean culture. The bike riding is easy – flat, and mostly on wide pavements, quiet streets and traffic-free parks. The bikes are very comfortable and have a basket (for your purse, backpack and water bottle, etc.). Muy Bueno and Gracias, Marcela
We thoroughly enjoyed the Parks and Politics tour which gave us a good physical sense of the centre of the city but also immersed us in the horrid but fascinating recent history of the Santiago and Chile. Marcela was an ideal guide, pacing the trip perfectly and impressively entertaining and educating a mixed language group seamlessly in both Spanish and English.
I’m really not one for sight seeing so when my friends suggested we take their tours I unenthusiastically agreed. But then we took off on those vibrant green bikes of theirs and I realized this was unlike any tour I had ever taken. First off, our tour guide (on both tours) was incredibly personable and easy to talk to. You could tell their guides aren’t doing this for the money but because they truly love the culture they’re representing.
La Bicicleta Verde’ was one of the best experiences we had in Santiago and certainly is the best way to get to know the city. We took the tour through the Markets and it was an amazing experience, far from the conventional boring tours with ‘Wikipedia-like’ information. Our guide was really fun and their organization is great, they really care about their customers. I strongly recommend this experience to everyone, we’ll surely take another tour when we get the chance to return to Chile.
What a great way to tour Santiago! I did the morning tour that rolls through the Bella Vista neighborhood. Cycling through the quiet neighborhoods allows you to enjoy the sights at a reasonable pace and soak it all in. Informative and fun, our guide! Fabian, was excellent! My only regret was that my trip to Santiago was short and I did not not book this as my first activity; this was a great way to get your bearings and compare the guidebook “must see” sights with a local perspective”
